Business
Kodiak Sciences Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the research, development, and commercialization of innovative treatments for prevalent retinal diseases. The company leverages its proprietary Antibody Biopolymer Conjugate (ABC®) platform to create long-acting therapies. Its lead investigational product, tarcocimab tedromer, an anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) agent, has progressed through multiple Phase 3 clinical studies for various retinal vascular conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, and wet age-related macular degeneration. The tarcocimab program was recently re-evaluated and is advancing with ongoing Phase 3 trials, GLOW2 for diabetic retinopathy and DAYBREAK for wet age-related macular degeneration, with topline results anticipated in 2026. Kodiak's pipeline also features KSI-501, a bispecific antibody biopolymer conjugate designed to inhibit both VEGF and interleukin-6 (IL-6) for retinal conditions with an inflammatory component, currently in a Phase 3 study for wet age-related macular degeneration, with topline data expected in 2026. Additionally, KSI-101, an unconjugated bispecific protein targeting IL-6 and VEGF, has shown promising Phase 1b results for macular edema secondary to inflammation, and is now in two Phase 3 studies, PEAK and PINNACLE, with data expected in late 2026 and early 2027. In preclinical development, KSI-601 is a triplet inhibitor being explored for dry age-related macular degeneration. The company was established in 2009, initially as Oligasis, LLC, adopting the name Kodiak Sciences Inc. in September 2015, and operates from Palo Alto, California.
